Hi! I'm glad you stopped in.

May I introduce myself to you? Ok. But first, a few questions.

What defines who you are? Is it what you do? Who you know? Where you work?

For me, it is none of those things. it is that I am a person of faith, a happy wife, a good friend, an innovative and creative entrepreneur, and an intuitive problem-solver.

About Me

BORN:
Minnesota, daughter of farrier and jill-of-all-trades, raised on a horse farm

COLLEGE:
Liberty University - MBA in Leadership (pending)
Pillsbury College - BA in Theology, Music/Spanish

MARRIED:
1995 to Tim, lots of adventures, owners of 1-year-old yellow lab Chase

DEFINITION OF CAREER:
The sequence of jobs that a person holds in a lifetime, mine has taken me down many diverging paths

SINCE COLLEGE:
*NCAA Compliance Director - 1 year, coordinator of transition from NAIA to NCAA II
*Entrepreneur: 3 years, small computer consulting sole proprietorship
*College Coach - 2 years college volleyball, 1 year high school volleyball, 2 years assistant college basketball
*Software Instructor - 5 years experience in
1 business college, 3 community colleges, several corporations, and numerous in-home settings
*Writer - 2 books, copy and layout for 9 college sport media guides, department policy guide
*Desktop Publisher - 4 presentations, 6 websites, numerous forms, spreadsheets, and databases
*Human Resource Generalist - 1 year, creator of system to handle 2000 new applications
*Unit Director - 1 year, staff leader for 8 weeks of 24-7 counselor duty in a confined wilderness environment

OTHER THINGS SINCE COLLEGE:
Helped coach two college basketball teams
Taught Theology to junior high students
Assisted the Academic Dean of a small private college
Refereed women's power league volleyball

PLACES LIVED:
5 states since 1995 - Minnesota, Alabama, Missouri, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, with summer stints in New York

LESSONS LEARNED:
Shorten your learning curve after each challenge
Always look for hidden opportunities
Never be afraid to step out into that which is not known

THINGS LOVED:
New challenges
Adventure
Traveling, especially in western Europe
Photography
Reading, at least one book each week for fun
Learning new software
Releasing stress and angst through sports, playing the piano, and taking our yellow lab swimming in the Gulf

CURRENT RESIDENCE:
Pennsylvania, but am spending June & July on the Gulf Coast of Alabama while Tim works on Doctorate in Sport Management
